The artwork Elk In The Room is a surreal and curious imagining of when nature and mankind meet. The opulent interior of the room, with it's panelled walls and high ceilings are seemingly the perfect place for the majestic deer. Dark walls make the animal stand out, with a warm beam of sunlight finding its way through the window. The artwork is fun and unexpected, making it really stand out when hung in a space.

Certainly one to bring a smile to your face. Action and adventure is great but sometimes, just sometimes, you need a tortoise walking on a beach with a suitcase - what more can be said? Did you know that from the colour of the shell, you can tell where the tortoise (roughly) comes from? Tortoises from hot places tend to have lighter-coloured shells than tortoises from cooler areas. This chap is clearly coming from from the cooler side of its habitat – probably from the southern parts of the US, or northern South America.

The many precious gems are clearly visible in the intricate design of the royal headwear. The St.Edwards crown is proudly one of the oldest of English Crown Jewels, that can be dated as far back as 1065 and the Crown of India remains more modern, having been created for George V, Emperor of India, to wear in 1911.

We look to the individual, the free spirit, to set the pace. We all secretly want to be the one that bucks the trend and comes out on top. Or sometimes we want to seek solitude and a space to breath. This piece allows us to think about either of these view points but doesn’t preach to us, just entertains us. Simple, organic and stylish, this piece fits equally in a beach house or in a bustling city apartment. It could also adorn the walls of an office. The primary colour blue often symbolises serenity, stability, inspiration, or wisdom. It is a calming colour, and symbolise reliability. Also, the blue is a nod to the ocean and the sky; to freedom and space.

This statement piece has a wonderfully whimsical charm in a very stand-out way. The webbed feet of the seagull capture our immediate attention, before the eye travels to the sailing boat and the other yachts in the harbour beyond. It’s a fun burst of colour, in a very maritime setting. Often beach colours are blue, sandy and white, so these two legs of red are adding a great contrasting colour. Redish colours are deemed a warm colour. Visually, warm colours always seem to be closer to us than cooler colours like grey and blue, which make these Giant Seagull legs stand out even more. We can easily see this image in a beach house or in a quirky townhouse where it would bring a little of the outside in. The colours of this piece means it would fit both in a colourful setting as well as a minimalist all white environment. It’s a great conversation starter as well – it’s always fun when nature supplies us with photo bombs.
