After growing up in London, Tyson completed his studies first at the St Martins School of Art and then the prestigious Goldsmiths College. His solo exhibitions began in 2000 and he has continued to exhibit at shows up to the present day. One if Muckensturm's most important commissions was a collection 17 stained glass windows at the Saint Claude Cathedral in France during the mid 2000's He was the artist in residence at the Birmingham City Art Gallery in the U.K during 2007. He exhibits and teaches art regularly across Europe and the USA. Tyson loves to work with vibrant colour and his designs are best known for their minimalist yet commanding form. The use of symmetry and complimentary colour help to captivate the viewer.
